SHARING YOUR CONNECTION

1) Unlike HughesNet Consumer Edition, HughesNet Professional Edition is optimized to support two concurrent users simultaneously and is available right here on this website. Simply go to our ORDER NOW page to purchase the service. HEAVY DOWNLOAD USAGE
2) All broadband is shared, cable, DSL and satellite. It is HUGHES policy to ensure adequate data resources for all of our users. In order to enforce this, customers that download excess amounts of data will be throttled down considerably as part of our Free Access Policy. The threshold at which HUGHES enacts this policy is expanded for business users; so, if you frequently download large amounts of data, HughesNet Professional Edition can provide you with additional network resources. Very few customers hit the download threshold, which is approximately 500mb per file download or session and those who are not typically effected often.

STATIC IP aDDRESS
3) HughesNet Professional Edition offers a public, routable Static IP address which is not available with the Consumer Service. If you are using the Static IP address to connect to an IPSEC based VPN, you will see a decrease in performance.
